The Junior Financial Controller will report directly to the Head of Finance and play a critical role in managing financial processes, supporting strategic decision-making, and maintaining operational excellence within the Finance department. This role is ideal for a finance professional with 5-10 years of experience who is ready to step up and contribute to strategic initiatives while overseeing day-to-day operations.
𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬
𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭:
Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
Conduct regular analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Oversee daily cash flow management and ensure funding aligns with operational needs.
𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬:
Prepare and present financial reports, including project status updates, team performance metrics, and budget analysis.
Collaborate with department heads to track and improve financial KPIs, such as billable percentages, project budgets, and payroll reporting.
Support the CFO in strategic planning with actionable insights backed by accurate data.
𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞:
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes as needed.
𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞:
Manage and maintain financial systems, ensuring data accuracy and security.
Streamline financial workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce redundancies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with broader business objectives.

Work closely with the Finance and Operations teams to ensure smooth communication and execution of projects.
Act as a bridge between the CFO and the Finance team, relaying critical information and decisions.
Mentor junior finance team members, fostering a culture of growth and continuous learning.
𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:
𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
5-10 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or related roles.
𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬:
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Proficiency in financial reporting tools and software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Excel, ERP systems).
Advanced knowledge of financial regulations and best practices.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a fast-paced, multi-national organization.
Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or CFA are a plus.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
