The Growth Marketing team is responsible for converting new buyers and driving existing buyers to shop more frequently on the Etsy website and app. We lead all aspects of the Global strategy and execution across a mix of demand capture and demand generation channels to deliver measurable results. This team is part of the larger Marketing Org.

About The Role

We are looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to join our Affiliate Team within Growth Marketing, specifically focused on Social Affiliate - the creator/influencer arm of Affiliate. This person will be responsible for growing and optimizing our creator marketing programs across key Affiliate Subnetworks (LTK, ShopMy, etc.) to drive activation and engagement amongst creators to ultimately incremental sales through social content. The candidate must have knowledge and experience working in the creator/influencer space, specifically Affiliate marketing, inclusive of partner management skills and experience with relevant industry technology/software. In addition, this role must have strong collaboration and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail and creative problem solving.

Key responsibilities:

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and implement optimization strategies to continue growth of the Social Affiliate program
  • Plan and manage budgets to increase GMS, acquire new/lapsed buyers, and maximize ROI
  • Guide the overall creative and operational direction for engagement
  • Analyze platform and market trends to identify opportunities for partnership and expansion

Content Strategy & Campaign Development

  • Create multi-channel campaigns to increase awareness, engagement and GMS
  • Test incentives (commissions, gift cards, cash compensation) to see which are most effective per network
  • Pilot new initiatives to test the effectiveness and scale successful efforts
  • Create an engagement content calendar and coordinate with internal/external teams to execute
  • Develop best-in-class creative for partner placements, newsletters, and social posts

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams such as Brand and Merchandising to ensure cohesive branding and efficiency
  • Coordinate with Legal and Privacy to ensure work meet regulatory requirements
  • Partner with Analytics to deepen insights per network to drive engagement and content effectiveness

Agency Management

  • Manage on-going gap analysis to ensure we approve and on-board all relevant partners
  • Create briefs to outline objectives, performance expectations, target audience, and key messaging for engagement and campaign management.

Performance Reporting

  • Oversee tracking and analysis (daily/weekly/monthly) of the InDirect program (ROI, GMS, spend, traffic, engaged visits, impressions), leveraging multiple data sources, including multi-touch attribution models
  • Analyze effectiveness of campaigns and incentives to make data-driven recommendations for optimizations

Requirements

Must-Haves

  • 4-7+ years of relevant experience in influencer marketing within a performance marketing team. DTC or online retailer experience preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail ensuring work is accurate and details are not overlooked
  • Embodies a data driven approach, leveraging multiple data sources to come to decisions quickly, improving efficiency of programs to drive growth
  • Strong critical thinking skills coupled with a bias towards action so as to anticipate and navigate the constantly evolving marketing landscape
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator
  • A passion for continuous learning and staying updated on relevant industry trends
  • Highly proficient in Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Slack
  • Prior experience managing large projects involving cross-functional participants, multiple dependencies, and aggressive timelines.
  • Bachelor degree or master degree in business, management, marketing communications, or related field.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Proficiency in a variety of measurement solutions including multi-touch attribution models, Brand Lift, incrementality testing and MMM.
  • Experience managing projects and creating workflows using software like Monday.com, Mailchimp, Jira, Wrike, Smartsheets, CreatorIQ, Looker, and/or AWIN.
