Job Description

Essential Functions Includes

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess network requirements and develop strategic plans and documents for network infrastructure enhancements.
  • Proactively identify and address network performance issues, security vulnerabilities, and emerging technologies to ensure optimal network reliability and security.
  • Lead network-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new deployments, from conception to completion.
  • Work within Security/Compliance guidelines to ensure DR and backup/recovery activities meet all compliance and audit requirements.\
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including network diagrams, configuration details, and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the network engineering team.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in networking and security.
  • Build partnerships with customers, peers and stakeholders and work closely with them to shape and influence the design of acceptable solutions.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to network-related incidents and outages as needed.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to evaluate and implement new technologies and solutions.

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in network engineering roles, with a focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level networks.
  • Expertise in routing and switching protocols, sit to site VPN, branch site VPN.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco and Ubiquiti networking equipment and related technologies
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, secure access controls and end point security.
  • Experience with EDR tools such as SentinelOne, Huntress or Check Point is plus.
  • Experience with back up tools like Datto or Zerto is a plus.
  • Experience with enterprise virtualization technologies, storage, platform performance/sizing.
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools, such as Logic Monitor, SolarWinds or similar tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues effectively.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as NIST or TOGAF
  • Cloud Technology: MS Azure Fundamentals is required. MS Azure Administration is preferred.
  • Experience managing Watchguard firewall equipment’s.

Salary Range: The expected pay range for this job varies based on experience and location - $115,000 to $135,000.
