Your role will involve strategic planning, project management, code review, and hands-on development to drive our software and automation projects to successful completion. You will also focus on streamlining processes and improving operational efficiency through innovative automation technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership and Development:

- Manage, mentor, and lead a team of PHP developers and automation specialists; set clear goals and objectives.
- Conduct regular one-on-ones and performance reviews to foster professional growth.
- Recruit and train new team members as needed.
- Project Management:

- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software and automation development projects.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for project requirements and timelines.
- Software Development and Automation:

- Lead the design and development of PHP-based applications and automation solutions.
- Ensure high-quality code and automation solutions through regular code reviews and adherence to best practices.
- Stay hands-on with coding, troubleshooting complex issues, and developing automation workflows using tools like Zapier, Kajabi, ClickFunnels, and Slack Workflow.
- Technical Strategy and Vision:

- Contribute to the development of the overall technology and automation strategy.
- Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in PHP development, web technologies, and automation.
- Advocate for and implement advanced technologies and frameworks to improve product quality, team efficiency, and operational processes.
- Quality Assurance:

- Work closely with the QA team to ensure applications and automation solutions meet quality standards.
- Establish processes for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) and test-driven development (TDD).
- Stakeholder Communication:

- Translate business requirements into technical solutions, focusing on both software development and automation.
- Governance and Compliance:

- Establish and maintain governance frameworks, policies, and procedures for software and automation initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and security standards.

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in PHP development and PHP frameworks, with a proven track record of developing large-scale, high-traffic web applications.
- 3+ years of experience in automation, process improvement, or related roles.
- Strong technical skills with hands-on experience in automation tools like Zapier, Kajabi, ClickFunnels, Slack Workflow, and APIs.
- Knowledge of Laravel PHP web framework and experience with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, ReactJS/AngularJS/Vue.js is a plus).
- Familiarity with database technology (MySQL, MongoDB).
- Knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming, MVC design patterns, and RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency in code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications in PHP or automation technologies are a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Digital Ocean, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and identify creative solutions to complex problems.

- Our USA business hours include MANDATORY overlap (8:00 am to 12:00 noon Arizona time) Our business hours for operations in the USA are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Mountain Standard Time (MST) in Arizona. Your specific or flexible duty hours will be discussed with your Head of Department (HOD).
- Hours for some departments may be fixed or may vary depending on the tasks/projects involved.
- Billable teams ( Bookkeepers, Tax preparers, Customer care, and admins ) expect to work at least 50 hours per week during tax season, and weekends could be required.
- We need someone available for on-call emergencies (outside of normal working hours. Only when needed).

- Storage: Minimum 256GB SSD or 500GB HDD
- Operating System: Genuine Windows (Preferably Pro).
