Job Summary:
The Product Quality Assurance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability for our products manufactured in China. This position oversees the entire quality assurance process, from initial product development through to final delivery, ensuring compliance with both internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.
This position is empowered to drive China quality initiatives that improve the overall product quality and customer experience. The position is expected to work in close collaboration with China Manufacturing Engineering. This position reports to the Sourcing Manager, China.

Job Summary:
The Product Quality Assurance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability for our products manufactured in China. Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance policies and procedures aligned with company goals and industry standards. Ensure all quality requirements defined by the company for the manufacturing, assembly, testing and delivery of ESS are accurately implemented and applied on-site throughout the entire product life cycle.
- Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate closely with suppliers to establish quality requirements, conduct audits, and ensure adherence to specifications.
- Contract Manufacturer Audits: Manage and Support audits of contract manufacturers to assess compliance with quality standards, manufacturing practices, and contractual obligations.
- Product Testing and Evaluation: Design and oversee testing protocols to assess product performance, durability, and safety. Analyze test results and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the manufacturing and quality assurance processes. Implement corrective and preventive actions to enhance product quality and reliability.
- Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with global team to ensure all products meet regulatory standards and applicable certifications based on the needs of each geographic regions. Stay updated on regulatory changes and coordinate necessary certifications.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize quality metrics and data analysis to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive decision-making related to product quality and improvement initiatives.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations teams to address quality issues and drive collaborative solutions.
- Leadership: Lead and inspire a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Adhere to federal and state regulations.
- Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- Predictable and reliable attendance.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial engineering or related field.
- Clear verbal and written communication in English is mandatory.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience managing a certified quality management system.
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, influential and conflict management skills.
- Working knowledge of formal quality systems (ISO9001/14001/45001, and similar).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and convert them into quality control plans.
- Ability to network and influence at every organizational level.
- Experience with and knowledge of International Quality Systems is preferred.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 25%.

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment.
- Ability to adjust focus, especially due to concentration on a computer screen.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and/or position the body to reach items on the floor/below knee level or reach overhead.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about in industrial environments, and on uneven terrain.
- Works in a temperature-controlled office environment, with occasional work in outdoor weather conditions, and in industrial environments.
- The noise level in the work environment can be moderately loud.
- May be required to recognize small numbers, letters, symbols, colors on prints, and/or operate field instruments/equipment.
- Visual acuity to follow hand signals, maintain logs and inspect and maintain machinery.
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
- Ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.
