Overview
As a Senior Compensation Analyst at Joby, you will lead the execution of our annual compensation cycles and conduct in-depth market reviews to ensure our global pay structures remain competitive and equitable. This role will also participate in special projects that evolve our global compensation strategy like pay equity initiatives to job architecture redesigns. Serving as a data-driven consultant to the People Team and our business, you will play a critical role in shaping a compensation philosophy that scales with our growth. This position is based out of Joby’s Santa Cruz, CA office. Onsite presence 2-3 days per week is required.
Responsibilities
- Own the project management of annual compensation cycles, including Pave configuration, timeline development, cycle pay analysis, and Executive review sessions
- Help prepare materials and presentation decks for the Compensation Committee and Board of Directors
- Assist with various special projects including financial modeling, compensation budgets, and equity philosophy
- Conduct rigorous market reviews using third-party data to maintain competitiveness and internal equity
- Serve as an internal guide for the Compensation and People teams, providing technical guidance on complex pay issues, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in compensation analysis including experience with job architecture, developing standardized salary ranges and creating global strategy
- HRIS implementation experience
- Proficiency with Pave, Radford, Excel and Google Sheets
- Strong attention to detail when handling sensitive compensation information
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee and organizational data
- Ability to work onsite 2-3 days per week
Additional Information
Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $122,800 - $168,800/yr. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
