Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Composite Tooling Fabricator to join our team. Qualifying skills for the position includes , but is not limited to, Fabricating, detailing and preparing composite tooling master model surfaces for tooling prepreg and resin infusion layup processes.
Supporting tooling design of fixture modifications using 3D modeling software. Applicants must be proficient in Hand lay up of dry fiber and prepreg materials and their associated methodologies. Your responsibilities will include building, detailing, sealing and releasing foam master model plugs in preparation for producing composite tooling. Additionally, you will take part in the preparation and assembly of steel and aluminum molds and fixturing. The optimal candidate will possess the ability to learn and apply the methodology of GD&T as it pertains to the metrology process in the utilization of portable CMM equipment in support of the tooling dept inspection processes.

Required
- HS Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Work schedule for this position is Monday- Friday, 8:00 am-5:30 pm.
- 1yr Manual lathe and milling machining experience.
- Mechanical skills relating to assemblies
- Understanding of composite & metallic materials
- Manual dexterity and ability to use hand & power tools efficiently and effectively.
- Familiar with CAD software.
- Able to become certified to wear a respirator.
- Ability to lift assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs
- Have no known allergies to epoxies or other composites materials.
Desired
CNC Machining or programming experience is a plus but not required
Additional Information
The target base pay for this position is $21-$31/hour. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
