About The RoleAs a Sales Development Representative at Uber Eats in Portugal, your main goal would be to sign up new restaurants to the Uber Eats platform in various geographic locations across the country. This would involve building and maintaining relationships with restaurant owners and managers, and pitching the benefits of partnering with Uber Eats. What You'll Do
  • Prospecting potential restaurant partners in your assigned geographical area;
  • Meeting with restaurant owners and managers to explain the benefits of using Uber Eats, including increased exposure, access to new customers, and streamlined delivery operations;
  • Negotiating contract terms and pricing with restaurants to ensure a mutually beneficial partnership;
  • Conducting presentations and demonstrations to showcase the features and functionality of the Uber Eats platform;
  • Following up with restaurants to ensure a smooth onboarding process and troubleshoot any issues that may arise;
  • Collaborating with the Uber Eats team to optimize sales strategies and identify opportunities for growth in your market.
What You'll NeedTo be successful in this role, you would need excellent communication and relationship-building skills, a strong understanding of the restaurant industry, and the ability to work independently while hitting sales targets! You should also be comfortable working with technology and data to track your progress and make informed decisions.
  • Persistency & relentless attitude: the ability to persist through rejection and stay motivated to achieve sales goals;
  • Communication: the ability to effectively connect with customers through various channels, including phone, email, and social media;
  • Excelent writing and speaking capabilities in Portuguese;
  • Relationship-building: the ability to build strong, lasting relationships with customers through trust and rapport;
  • Sales experience: Having prior sales experience, especially in the restaurant or food industry, can give you an edge when pitching Uber Eats to potential partners;
  • Negotiation and Adaptability skills: Negotiating deals with restaurants and other partners requires the ability to find mutually beneficial solutions and reach agreements that are beneficial for both parties. Also being able to adapt to new trends and changes in the market is essential for success;
  • Time management skills: As a sales rep, you'll need to manage your time effectively to balance prospecting, meetings, and administrative tasks.
