YOUR MISSION
True Anomaly is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead mission-critical ground station, communication, and regulatory programs across our missions. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge in RF communications and a strong understanding of regulatory requirements in both spectrum and spacecraft imaging licensing. The candidate must be comfortable operating in fast-paced, regulated environments and be able to drive alignment across engineering, security, legal, compliance, and business operations teams. Your expertise in working with external stakeholders to facilitate timely and positive outcomes will play a key role in advancing our national security mission and operational excellence in the space domain.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the full spectrum of spacecraft licensing, ground station coordination, and RF platform development for all True Anomaly missions
- Ensure alignment across the organization for regulatory and RF requirements to ensure compliance and closure where gaps exist
- Direct the responsibilities and activities of internal and, where necessary, external stakeholders to support regulatory programs including program management, systems engineering, communications and IT, mission operations, facilities management, security, safety, and contracts/financial/supply chain support functions
- Support the Program Management Organization in identifying, providing risk assessments, schedule estimates, and recommendations for mitigations of known issues; developing recommended process improvements; facilitating opportunities with Finance
- Provide strategic direction, set priorities, and resolve day-to-day issues to deliver operational licenses for True Anomaly spacecraft
- Perform risk/issue assessments, tracking, resolution, escalation, and closeout to ensure satisfactory program performance
- Oversee and manage subcontractor activities and deliverables
- Lead preparation of applications, studies, and deliverables
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with preparing, reviewing, and submitting spacecraft and/or ground station FCC and NOAA license applications to tight timelines
- Strong presentation skills
- High attention to detail
- Proven experience and skills in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, strategic thinking, marketing, and literacy in the program management disciplines
- Ability to accommodate multiple projects
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 1 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Eligible for Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
- Ability to work within a cross-functional, geographically dispersed team environment to complete contractual commitments
- Experience with customer interfacing and National Security aerospace programs
- Ability to establish new & further refining existing templates, tools, & guidelines for program documentation & execution
- Experience with ensuring compliance with approved Corporate and ISO 9001:2000 Policies and Processes
COMPENSATION
- Colorado Base Salary: $140,000-$190,000
- California Base Salary: $145,000-$200,000
- Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Work Location—successful candidates will be located near our Denver or Long Beach facilities. While we observe a hybrid work environment, some work must be done on site.
