How do you fit in?

As a Principal Software Engineer at Savage X Fenty, you will lead architecture and engineering strategy for SavageX while collaborating with other engineering counterparts across large-scale systems and cross-functional teams. You are a hands-on leader who also operates as a strategic partner to engineering and product leadership. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of implementation and organizational technical leadership.

What you will do:

  • Define and lead architecture for platforms that power multiple products and teams

  • Align technical strategy with business priorities and long-term growth

  • Lead design reviews and architecture forums, influencing decisions across teams and departments

  • Mentor senior engineers and Staff+ peers on technical growth and leadership

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Data, Security, and Infrastructure leaders to align on standards and technical direction

  • Identify and drive adoption of foundational tools, frameworks, and engineering practices

  • Participate in hands-on development, especially in complex, high-leverage systems

  • Guide incident response and postmortem processes for high-impact issues.

What you can bring:

  • 10+ years of software development experience, including leading architecture

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Exceptional system design and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated success driving long-term technical strategy and platform decisions

  • Experience with cloud-native systems, distributed architectures, and modern CI/CD tooling

  • Strong mentorship and leadership presence; able to influence at all levels

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and balancing speed with scalability
    Broad fluency in technologies like React, Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, AWS

The annual base salary range for this position is from $181,900-$194,000. The range provided includes the base salary that Savage X Fenty expects to pay for the role. Offered base salary will be dependent on factors including the scope and complexity of the role, candidate’s related work experience, subject matter expertise and work location.
