Job Description
The Sr. Fabric Manager supports the development and execution of the organization’s long-term material strategy. The role is responsible for data gathering, analytics, and foundational research that enable informed fabric positioning and platform decisions. In addition, this position manages end-to-end fabric development activities, including testing, sample yardage coordination, and timeline management for Intimate Apparel categories. The associate will also lead fabric positioning across core materials to support speed-to-market initiatives and ensure alignment between strategy, development, and cross functional teams.
This position requires strong quantitative skills, foundational textile knowledge, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions.
Key Responsibilities
Collect and analyze data on material usage, cost structures, performance attributes, and sustainability metrics to support strategic recommendations.
Maintain and update fabric positioning frameworks that classify materials by value tier, end-use, and key performance indicators.
Lead fabric positioning across core fabrics to drive speed-to-market initiatives and enable efficient seasonal execution.
Manage bulk fabric testing — including tracking, and reviewing lab test results — to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with performance standards.
Partner with mills, vendors, and internal teams to manage development timelines, and testing for Intimate Apparel fabrics, ensuring milestones are met.
Create and refine reporting tools and dashboards to visualize adoption trends, commercial risk exposure, and cost improvement opportunities.
Conduct market and competitive research to identify industry benchmarks and emerging material innovations.
Coordinate with Design, Merchandising, and Sourcing partners to ensure fabric information accuracy and alignment with seasonal strategies.
Track global innovation trends, competitive landscape shifts, and emerging technologies to identify forward-looking material opportunities.
Prepare presentation materials, insights summaries, and scenario documents for leadership review.
Manage seasonal raw material MOQ/MCQ surcharges
Negotiate raw material MOQs/MCQs, surcharges, costs, and lead-times with suppliers
Required Qualifications
3 – 5 years of experience in Raw Material Development and Management, Bulk Fabric Testing, Materials and Analytics within Fabrics and Apparel.
Proficiency in Excel
Ability to interpret datasets and communicate insights clearly.
Foundational knowledge of fabric constructions, finishing techniques, and material performance properties.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Desired Attributes

The annual base salary range for this position is from $120,000-$130,000. The range provided includes the base salary that Savage X Fenty expects to pay for the role. Offered base salary will be dependent on factors including the scope and complexity of the role, candidate’s related work experience, subject matter expertise and work location.
