The Sr. Manager, Social Media – who is a creative storyteller at heart – serves as a key player for the growth, engagement, and innovation of Savage X Fenty’s social media presence.
This creative, independent thinker will drive social media marketing strategies through platform-specific expertise and a content-focused lens. From ideation to creation to execution, this individual will ensure all Social Media content and strategy is working hard to push Savage X Fenty forward and consistently elevate the brand through innovation and disruption.
The Sr. Manager, Social Media must demonstrate strong judgement, be resourceful, have a sharp eye for detail and be able to excel in ambiguity. This role is multi-disciplined as we look for a candidate that not only has deep understanding and thought leadership in the social media space, but also one who can rise to any occasion and take ownership of high-profile marketing channels.
This position will report to the VP, Brand Marketing.
What you will do:
- Lead the development of ownable, best-in-class social media content and strategy that drives brand awareness, growth, engagement, and relevance.
- Develop creative and innovative content ideas that align with our brand's goals, target audience, and values.
- Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality videos for TikTok and Instagram, ensuring they are visually appealing, entertaining, and shareable.
- Capture behind-the-scenes, event, and real-time content by attending SxF shoots and activations.
- Align video and static content with brand messaging and campaign objectives.
- Calendaring: Create & manage the content calendar creation process, including writing captions, creative ideation + briefing, and asset delivery. Responsible for posting to the brand social media accounts with support from direct reports.
- Community Management: Engage with fans / followers / influencers and monitor conversations from the brand’s voice. Engage with other brands and creators to stand out during ‘viral’ moments that pop up on the channels.
- Strategize, execute, and report on the monthly content plans for all social media channels – Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc.
- Work with cross-functional partners and internal stakeholders on key projects, including but not limited to: PR, Marketing, Legal, CRM, Design, Creative and more to further the brand team’s social media objectives.
- Create analytics reports on a regular and one-off cadence – depending on need. Leverage insights to inform future content and strategy shifts.
- Keep your finger on the pulse of the latest emerging social trends. Propose ways the brand can show up on the platforms in a meaningful and strategic way.
- Stay abreast of competitive social media, influencer marketing, and content strategies + trends and make recommendations on how the brand can stay a step ahead.
- Identify / anticipate social media + cultural trends for the brand to participate in or put its own spin on.
- Develop seasonal + evergreen channel strategies; ideate custom content to support key initiatives as well as ongoing evergreen needs.
What you can bring:
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in social media, marketing, communications, or public relations preferred or relevant experience.
- 5-6+ years experience in social media management, content marketing, and / or brand marketing. Entertainment, celebrity, or consumer brand experience a plus.
- Experience directly owning the social media channels of a mid-to-large brand, including copywriting or review and calendaring.
- Deep understanding of social media platforms and up to date on industry + platform trends (Instagram, Reels, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must be an idea generator.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal, influencing and negotiation skills, demonstrate emotional intelligence and agility when communicating at all levels within the organization and externally.
- Must be comfortable in a high pressure, fast paced business environment.
- Must be a driven contributor and work effectively and collaboratively with team members.
- Enthusiastic team player with the flexibility to re-prioritize, multitask and switch tasks fluidly to be nimble with demands and changes in the business - can decide and act without having the total picture and can comfortably handle ambiguity.
- Quick learner, when facing new problems; open to change; enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks; quickly grasps the essence and the underlying structure of anything.
- Experience with social media reporting tools such Sprinklr, Social Bakers, Curalate, Iconosquare etc.
- Must be a resourceful self-starter with excellent time management skills.

The annual salary for this position is from $90,100-$125,000. The range provided includes the base salary that Savage X Fenty expects to pay for the role. Offered base salary will be dependent on factors including the scope and complexity of the role, candidate’s related work experience, subject matter expertise and work location.
