The Corporate Controller is a key leadership role that will lead all accounting operations for Savage X Fenty. This position is responsible for ensuring that ongoing accounting operations are seamless, timely and reliable. The person for this role will assess and integrate best-in-class accounting practices on a continuous basis, ensuring consistency and integrity.
This position reports to the VP, Finance.
What you will do:
- Build, develop and lead a team to support accounting function, including several direct reports.
- Responsible for all corporate accounting functions including month-end close, fixed assets, ownership of general ledger, inventory accounting & AR/AP.
- Lead month-end close including completion of month-end checklist, along with account analyses.
- Prepare and oversee preparation of monthly and annual financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) with an appropriate amount of rigor to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.
- Manage the annual financial audit process and serve as the main point of contract for external auditor.
- Evaluate existing internal control structure for effectiveness and compliance while implementing new internal controls to address identified deficiencies.
- Develop effective relationships with internal business partners and be proactive in resolving issues that are impacted by accounting practices and functions.
- Research and resolve technical accounting and business issues; drive implementation of new accounting systems, policies and practices.
- Evaluate current accounting policies and practices, and aim to improve and implement sound internal control procedures that will allow for scalable growth and sustainability.
- Support cash flow and treasury management.
- Foster a collaborative working environment that enables team members to maximize their potential.
What you can bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA certification is required.
- 12+ years combined experience in public accounting (preferably Big 4) and/or industry.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with proven track record of building teams and fostering employee engagement.
- Deep understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and sound decision-making abilities.
- Great interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in and general comfort with a variety of financial systems.
- Very detail oriented, with strong organization skills and ability to maintain and keep track of multiple information sources.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, proven people and organizational skills, and versatile in facilitating management across the organization.
- Ability to grow with a fast-paced company and thrive in an international operation.
- Experience managing external audit processes.
- Experience in fashion industry and/or ecommerce is preferred.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $180,000-$220,000. The range provided includes the base salary that Savage X Fenty expects to pay for the role. Offered base salary will be dependent on factors including the scope and complexity of the role, candidate’s related work experience, subject matter expertise and work location.
