  • $100K – $110K

On target ranges above include base plus a portion of variable compensation that is earned based on company and individual performance.

Job Summary:

The Solutions Specialist develops professional expertise to support clients by identifying and recommending software or product solutions that best suit their needs. This role collaborates internally and externally to build productive relationships to drive customer impact and deliver high-impact product solutions. The Solutions Specialist provides professional advice, creates initial analyses, and prepares reports for review by more experienced team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct technical discovery to uncover pain points and challenging cases.

  • Develop compelling sales proposals and define solution fit for customers that address the needs identified through discovery.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Professional Services, and Customer Success teams to align efforts within the OpenGov ecosystem.

  • Become the trusted advisor by demonstrating deep product knowledge and real-world application to solve clients challenges and issues.

  • Prepare and present product demonstrations, emphasizing operational efficiency, adapting to change, and strengthening public trust.

  • Build technical champions throughout the sales process and secure the technical win.

  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend proof-of-concept opportunities.

  • Contribute to the development of technical sections in RFPs/RFQs.

  • Create reusable technical assets to support ongoing sales activities.

  • Work closely with Professional Services teams to ensure a smooth transition of opportunities and stay current in deployment best practices.

  • Work cross-functionally with R&D, Marketing, and other departments on field observations and customer feedback that impact the product roadmap and competitiveness.

Requirements and Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required, preferably equivalent to or aligned with Public Administration, Civil Engineering, GIS, Accounting, Community Development, or Urban Planning

  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience in Sales or Solution Engineering; advanced degrees may substitute for experience

  • 2+ years in solutions engineering, asset/infrastructure management, GIS, or permitting, or ERP solutions.

  • Experience coding in CSS preferred

  • Knowledge of government accounting and/or finance is strongly preferred

  • Strong ability to learn, understand, and communicate complex technical concepts and develop skills to create compelling solutions that demonstrate business value

  • Effective presentation and relationship-building skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Civic engagement experience is highly desirable

  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time

Compensation:
$100,000 - $110,000
