This role is instrumental in advancing our Information Security program and ensuring that our cloud and on-prem environments are resilient, observable, and defensible. You’ll work closely with DevOps, Infrastructure, and Security teams to automate protections, detect misconfigurations, and proactively address vulnerabilities at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of internal security tools and automation pipelines to enhance visibility and enforce security controls across infrastructure.

  • Implement solutions that secure our cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and Kubernetes clusters, focusing on detection-as-code, and SOAR functionality

  • Partner with infrastructure and DevOps teams to build scalable solutions for logging, monitoring, identity enforcement, and misconfiguration detection and remediation.

  • Own the deployment and lifecycle of critical security tools, including vulnerability management platforms, CSPM, SIEM, Incident Response, secrets management, application security scanning systems, endpoint protection systems and others.

  • Develop and maintain custom detection rules, alerts, and remediations for cloud-native services, using tools such as GitHub, Terraform, Python, and serverless technologies.

  • Create documentation, runbooks, and automated health checks for deployed tools to ensure operational excellence.

  • Evaluate open-source and commercial tools for integration into the broader security ecosystem.

  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers and serve as a technical SME for infrastructure security best practices.

  • Contribute to Incident Response activities, including acting as Incident Commander for Security Incidents.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience, with a focus on infrastructure or cloud security.

  • Proven experience building, deploying, and maintaining security tools and automation.

  • Deep understanding of cloud environments (AWS & Azure) and experience securing cloud-native services.

  • Strong grasp of Threat Modeling fundamentals and systems hardening practices.

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Wiz, SentinelOne, Palo Alto, or similar is a plus.

  • Ability to break down complex security challenges into scalable technical solutions.
