Job Summary:
As the Chief of Staff to the President & COO of OpenGov, you will be a key partner in driving operational excellence, strategic planning, and organizational effectiveness. We are looking for an individual with an AI-first mindset to help the President & COO drive meaningful transformation across the business. You will assess complex challenges, adapt approaches, and devise solutions that align with the company's strategic goals. As a trusted advisor to the President & COO, you will enable high-impact decision-making and enhance relationships with internal and external partners across diverse scopes.
This role involves overseeing critical initiatives, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and enhancing the operational rhythm of the organization. You will manage diverse projects, implement innovative solutions, and deliver measurable outcomes while adapting to varying audiences and advising on complex matters.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain consistent operating rhythms to ensure alignment, knowledge-sharing, and effective communication across the R&D and GTM organizations.
- Build and lead organization-wide projects, driving collaboration, accountability, and measurable results.
- Facilitate operational efficiency by addressing challenges and prioritizing critical tasks for the President & COO and leadership teams.
- Help manage the annual strategic planning process and other high-impact organizational initiatives in partnership with relevant teams.
- Develop agendas and oversee logistics for leadership meetings, ensuring productive and actionable outcomes.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and provide actionable insights to support informed decision-making for the President & COO and leadership teams.
- Use advanced analytical techniques to evaluate diverse circumstances and recommend tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create and document processes that improve organizational communication, operations, and efficiency.
- Enhance relationships and networks with senior internal and external stakeholders, adapting communication styles to different audiences and advising on complex matters to help create cohesion within the team
- Work closely with the Executive Assistant to ensure effective management of the President & COO’s calendar, aligning priorities with organizational goals.
Requirements:
- AI knowledge/enabled with ability to help drive the usage of AI across the organization
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
- 2+ years of related experience providing high-level support to senior executives (e.g., COO, CEO, President, or Vice President) with a proven track record of driving operational efficiency and strategic initiatives.
- 2+ years of experience managing complex projects or programs, preferably in fast-paced, high-growth organizations.
- Expertise in establishing and maintaining systems to track progress, ensure accountability, and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships at all organizational levels.
- Strong data-driven decision-making abilities, with experience in analyzing business trends, creating forecasts, and presenting actionable insights.
- A track record of solving high-level business challenges with innovative and sustainable solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and align teams toward common goals.
- Demonstrated commitment to honesty, ethical conduct, and maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities, with expertise in analyzing complex issues, developing actionable plans, and ensuring successful execution.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience in a fast-paced growth company, former founder, private equity, venture capital, or management consulting environment.
- Knowledge of and passion for AI, business strategy, investing, capital allocation, leadership development, and organizational management.
- A proven ability to balance gravitas and professionalism with initiative, adaptability, and a proactive work ethic.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing large-scale organizational initiatives.
- Familiarity with operational best practices, goal-setting frameworks, and performance management systems.
