The Engineering Operations (EngOps) team is at the vanguard for developing systems, software, tools, technology, and processes that fundamentally enable our multiple autonomous worldwide engineering teams to build and run their cloud ERP applications. And, we do it at scale with a cloud-first mindset. The EngOps team is responsible for our public cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, developer experience (productivity, systems, processes, tools), SRE, DevOps, FinOps, program management, vendor management, quality frameworks and processes, release management, general systems integration/automation, and vendor management. The EngOps team works closely with a number of other cross-functional teams like engineering, customer support and professional services.
We are looking for an experienced Sr Technical Program Manager (TPM) who acts as a communication hub between EngOps and other cross-functional teams, to drive requirements gathering, collaboration, platform evangelism, adoption and rollout to other teams. The TPM focuses on linking EngOps to engineering, customer support and professional services teams.
Responsibilities:
• Gather and prioritize technical requirements from internal customers (engineering teams, customer support, and professional services teams) to build the best-in-class cloud-native platform
• Drive collaboration and ensure deliverables between the EngOps and Engineering teams are made, by working with both Engops and Engineering leaders and individual contributors
• Cultivate relationships with project managers, engineering leadership and professional services and customer support stakeholders
• Bring all stakeholders to the table in pursuit of excellence in clarity of technical requirements, effective and timely delivery, and the successful adoption of major technical initiatives
• Collaborate and communicate with team(s) to champion best-practices, patterns, and standards for our cloud-native platform are followed
• Exhibit a great balance between technology direction setting, management (planning and execution), and leadership (cross-functional, influence)
Requirements and Preferred Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or a related discipline required
• 10+ years of experience in software development, product management, agile development methodology, and SaaS operations
• Solid experience in onshore-offshore coordination and collaboration
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively work with teams across the globe especially in the US
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics
• Prior experience with modern software development methodologies: product management, and agile development methodologies, and tools like JIRA and Confluence
• Comfortable discussing complex, technical concepts/business impacts to various audiences, including with high-level executives
• Comfortable in highly ambiguous situations where you need to be the one to drive progress with very little structure and guidance
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to think long term, envision target states, and work towards achieving the target state iteratively
