Staff Engineer, NP
NIL Technology is continuously expanding the activities. Thus, we are looking for additional resources in our New Product Introduction team. The NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer will function as a key member of the Operations team that ensures an orderly transition from Engineering to Operations. This position is responsible for ensuring that new products are introduced into production smoothly, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards.

Reports to: Brian Bilenberg, EVP Technology in Denmark
Responsibilities:
- Drive, manage, coordinate and is responsible for the ramp-up phase of the product launches
- Be the operation technical focal point and collaborate cross functionally with Engineering, supply chain and quality team
- Review DFM (design for manufacturing), BOM, PCP, FMEA and OCAP
- Develop and document manufacturing processes and work instructions
- Coordinate pilot builds and perform continuous improvement, process optimization through Design of Experiment and JMP analysis approach
- Identify and mitigate production risks early in the development cycle
- Enable product release status fits to customer ramp up plan
- Assist in process cycle time calculation and line balance for new manufacturing lines
- Work closely with external support team and drive continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes.
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
- Degree/Post graduate level education in Engineering
Minimum Previous Experience:
- Minimum 3 years working experience in NPI preferably in manufacturing or in optics industry
Other Skills:
- Good knowledge in Project management, Product development and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
