About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and talented Software Engineer Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest or prior experience in computational biology and a passion for applying ML techniques to biological data. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge protein design, dry-to-wet lab integrations, and contribute to the advancement of one of the biggest challenges in proteomics.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and optimization of computational tools and algorithms for protein structure prediction and design.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning models into existing workflows.

• Contribute to the implementation of scalable and efficient software solutions for various computational biology projects.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the quality and reliability of software products.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in computational biology, machine learning, and protein design.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.

• Strong programming skills in Python.

• Robust understanding of machine learning concepts and their applications in biology.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude towards learning and development.

• Knowledge of structural biology and molecular dynamics simulations is a plus.

• Knowledge of web app development and front-ends is a plus.
