ML Ops Engineer

About the Role

As our ML Ops Engineer, you will be the driving force behind managing and scaling our IT infrastructure to support advanced machine learning operations. Your expertise in cloud infrastructure will be vital in automating workflows and ensuring efficient data management for our ML models. You will work closely with development teams to optimize ML workflows and deployment, playing a key role in our startup's growth journey.

Your ability to innovate and solve complex problems will be essential in this fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment. You will be entrusted with the responsibility of not just maintaining our existing infrastructure but also identifying and implementing improvements to enhance our operational efficiency and support our ambitious growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and scale IT infrastructure, primarily in Google Cloud, to support machine learning operations, data flow and related applications.

• Automate workflows, typically by implementing and maintaining infrastructure as code practices.

• Oversee data management and checkpointing for ML models.

• Collaborate with development teams to optimize ML workflows and deployment.

• Contribute to the growth journey of the startup with innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing IT infrastructure.

• Startup experience, especially in the growth stage, is highly desirable.

• Proficient in Google Cloud services or other major cloud providers and infrastructure as code methodologies.

• Solid experience in working with machine learning models and related data management.

• Effective communication skills, able to work collaboratively with both technical and scientific teams.

• Ability to own your work and drive outcomes in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.
