Included Health is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our GL Accounting team. This role is crucial to the financial health of our organization, taking ownership of key accounting functions from daily transactions to supporting month-end close processes and year-end audits. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong analytical mindset, ready to grow with our fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and reconcile daily cash transactions across multiple bank accounts, including auto debits, manual wires, and sweep transfers.
- Analyze existing cash processes; identify and implement solutions to optimize the cash application process.
- Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to resolve outstanding checks and maintain a clean cash ledger.
- Prepare and analyze monthly cash reports for senior management.
- Lead and execute assigned tasks during the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met with precision.
- Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts, proactively investigating and resolving any variances.
- Maintain the fixed asset subledger, ensuring all fixed asset transactions are accurately recorded in compliance with accounting guidelines.
- Record prepaid expenses and manage their corresponding amortization schedules.
- Contribute to financial projects, such as accounting for corporate credit card expenses and employee travel expense accruals.
- Compile, analyze, and prepare journal entries, while providing appropriate supporting documentation.
- Ability to take on other Accounting functions to allow for cross training and career development.
- Assist with the annual audit by preparing detailed schedules and providing clear, organized documentation to external auditors.
- Support pre-audit preparation to uphold the organization’s record of clean audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- 2-5 years of accounting work experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with ERP systems; Workday experience is a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly motivated with the ability to multitask, work independently and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Expresses a sense of urgency in completing tasks and takes ownership and responsibility of assigned work.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic changing environment.
- Eagerness to continue to learn and take on new tasks.
Pay:
The United States new hire base salary target ranges for this full-time position are:
Zone A: $55,000 - $71,500 + equity + benefits
Zone B: $60,500 - $78,650 + equity + benefits
Zone C: $66,000 - $85,800 + equity + benefits
Zone D: $71,500 - $92,950 + equity + benefits

Starting base salary for you will depend on several job-related factors, unique to each candidate, which may include education; training; skills; years and depth of experience; certifications and licensure; our needs; internal peer equity; organizational considerations; and understanding of geographic and market data. Compensation structures and ranges are tailored to each zone's unique market conditions to ensure that all employees receive fair and great compensation package based on their roles and locations.
