About the role:
This role operates in service of our employer clients, driving collaborative relationships with health plan partners to deliver an optimal member experience across the Included Health product suite. This role will be at the intersection of project management, strategic planning, relationship management, communications and process transformation. The role will be key to delivering Included Health’s services effectively and efficiently, in partnership with our carrier partners (health plans, TPAs, PBMs, etc.).
The role will be responsible for implementing scalable business processes, developing on-point communications, and ensuring all health plan needs and touch-points across Included Health are well coordinated. In addition, the role will partner with key stakeholders (sales, legal, marketing, client success, etc.) to drive education, collaboration, alignment, and actionable insight across multiple internal and external teams.
This role is not responsible for selling our Included Health products to health plans, but rather requires a forward-thinking mindset and strong diplomacy skills to build long-term relationships with our health plan partners in service to our enterprise clients. Successful candidates will have exceptional strategic planning and critical thinking skills, program management expertise, deep experience with commercial health plan dynamics, a proven ability to partner and communicate internally and externally, with the know-how to balance getting the details right while still moving fast.
Responsibilities:
- Relationship management with key external carrier partners in support of mutual employer clients
- Implementing scalable business processes, developing communications and ensuring internal Included Health carrier-related needs are coordinated and strategically aligned
- Maintain and further develop self-service resources to support carrier needs internally - including legal summaries, client counts by carrier, standard proposal answers and other carrier related resources
- Responsible for carrier data integrity across Included Health - internal and external reporting resources - influencing new data purchases related to carrier / health plan dynamics
- Ongoing understanding of dynamic health plan landscape, including carrier growth strategy, business performance, go-forward business strategy
- Identify trends and assist in the development of mitigation strategies, where appropriate, in partnership with the Carrier Relations and broader Strategic Partnership and Insights team
- Project management and support for key external relationship management
- Inform future roadmap and product enhancements based on insights from key carrier and health plans
- Client Success and Sales on current relationship dynamics between Included Health and client/ prospect’s carriers
- Client Success on how do we handle ongoing carrier relationships to support and deepen our client relationship
- Proposal Team on consistent carrier messaging in RFPs
- Solutions Engineering on carrier data feeds and future enhancements needs
- Client Launch Team on carrier data feeds, current integrations and diplomacy efforts with carrier partners
- Supporting specific strategic client launches and carrier changes
- Partnership with marketing and other functions on carrier intelligence and carrier trends
Serve as a subject matter expert internally including but not limited to:
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of program management, operations or strategic planning expertise, with direct experience working with health plans’ commercial business
- Active relationships with commercial carriers / health plans is preferred
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information and messages to a broad and diverse audience
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Experience using data to provide practical business insights through presentations and reporting and drive decision making through presentations and reporting
- Experience resolving and communicating about issues with both data driven and non-data driven audiences
- Experience working with Excel and Salesforce to analyze data and develop reporting
- Experience in a high growth, fast changing environment
- Ability to travel as needed to build external relationships with key carrier stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred
In your first 30 days:
- Onboard remotely with the Included Health team through general and Go-To-Market specific training to become familiar with Included Health’s products, solutions and terms
- Work with the Carrier Relations team to understand our carrier partnerships, process gaps and prioritize areas of opportunity
- Develop a strong internal network across Included Health
In your first 60 days:
- Develop a strong understanding of Included Health’s products and services
- Begin working with assigned key external stakeholders / carrier partners
- Identify key areas of opportunity and collaborate on FY25 plans
The United States new hire base salary target ranges for this full-time position are:
Zone A: $128,100 - $190,500 + equity + benefits
Zone B: $106,700 - $158,750 + equity + benefits
This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for candidates based on their respective Zone. Below is additional information on Included Health's commitment to maintaining transparent and equitable compensation practices across our distinct geographic zones.
Starting base salary for the successful candidate will depend on several job-related factors, unique to each candidate, which may include, but not limited to, education; training; skill set; years and depth of experience; certifications and licensure; business needs; internal peer equity; organizational considerations; and alignment with geographic and market data. Compensation structures and ranges are tailored to each zone's unique market conditions to ensure that all employees receive fair and competitive compensation based on their roles and locations. In addition to earning a base salary, this role is eligible for a performance-based bonus. Details of the Annual Bonus Plan, including performance metrics, target incentives, and potential earnings, will be discussed during the interview process.
