About the Role
We’re assembling a new R&D team to develop a wireless link between drones and base stations. As the FPGA Engineer, you will own the design and implementation of the signal processing pipeline on FPGA. You’ll work closely with a hardware engineer and an embedded software engineer to deliver a robust, high-performance system.
Responsibilities
Design and implement FPGA-based DSP blocks (FFT, FIR, resamplers, decimators).
Develop and optimize modem algorithms (BPSK, QPSK, QAM, FSK, OFDM, channel estimation, equalization).
Integrate FEC and interleaving pipelines (LDPC, Turbo) ensuring low-latency performance.
Implement digital front-end processing (DUC/DDC, frequency translation, AGC control).
Interface with RF transceivers ensuring deterministic latency and synchronization.
Develop test benches for reliable DSP and RF chain validation.
Work hand-in-hand with RF hardware and embedded software teams to guarantee seamless system integration.
Drive the complete FPGA lifecycle from prototyping to production with focus on robustness.
Select and qualify target FPGA devices aligned with RF system requirements.
Candidate Requirements
Educational Background: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in FPGA development (VHDL, Verilog)
Solid understanding of digital signal processing (DSP) concepts
Experience in developing and validating FPGA systems
Degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field
Problem-Solving: Ability to work autonomously and solve complex technical challenges.
Communication & Influence: Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of leading diverse principals – from junior members to senior executives.
