The Crown Is Yours

As a Privacy Specialist, you’ll play a key role in building and scaling DraftKings’ data inventory and privacy operations. You’ll partner across internal teams to map how personal data flows through our systems and help ensure our privacy program is accurate, actionable, and built to scale. This is a hands-on role where you’ll translate complex data environments into clear, structured documentation that supports compliance across global regulations.

What you’ll do as a Privacy Specialist

  • Build and maintain DraftKings’ data inventory and Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) program.

  • Partner cross-functionally to map data flows, document data usage and retention, and define system ownership and accountability.

  • Support the development of a centralized system register and standardized inventory processes.

  • Embed data inventory updates into workflows such as privacy assessments, procurement, and change management.

  • Identify gaps in data documentation, ownership, or lawful basis and support remediation efforts.

  • Contribute to broader privacy initiatives, including assessments, third-party risk, and regulatory compliance efforts.

  • Guide stakeholders through data inventory collection and documentation, leveraging tools and automation where appropriate.

  • Help develop training and documentation to improve adoption of data inventory practices across the business.

What you’ll bring

  • At least 3 years of experience in privacy operations, data governance, or data-focused compliance roles.

  • Working knowledge of SQL and data environments, including data warehouses and system integrations.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to organize complex information clearly.

  • A collaborative mindset, strong ownership, and commitment to ethical business practices.

  • Exposure to privacy regulations such as CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, or similar frameworks is a plus.
