The Crown Is Yours
We're growing rapidly and are searching for a Compensation Specialist to join our Total Rewards organization. In this role, you will contribute to the design, execution, and analysis of DraftKings’ global compensation programs. You’ll be a trusted partner to HR and business stakeholders by providing expertise in benchmarking, job architecture, salary structures, and compensation planning cycles. You’ll also help strengthen data-driven decision making through analytics and reporting, ensuring our compensation practices remain competitive, equitable, and compliant.
What you’ll do as a Compensation Specialist
Provide compensation consulting and support for HR Business Partners and Talent Partners on compensation-related questions.
Conduct benchmarking and market pricing for new and existing roles; develop insights and recommendations based on survey data.
Support the administration of annual and mid-year compensation programs, including merit, bonus, and equity.
Assist in maintaining DraftKings’ job architecture and salary structures, ensuring consistency and market competitiveness.
Partner with HR Technology and People Analytics teams to enhance compensation-related reporting, dashboards, and data integrity.
Assist in compliance activities, including pay equity analyses and adherence to state, federal, and global compensation regulations.
Support the creation and delivery of compensation communications, tools, and training for managers and employees.
Participate in special projects and initiatives to continuously evolve DraftKings’ compensation philosophy and programs.
What you’ll bring
4–6 years of broad-based compensation experience; high-growth, tech, or retail industry experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with Workday or other enterprise HRIS systems.
Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and ability to analyze, interpret, and present data effectively.
Solid understanding of compensation principles, benchmarking, job evaluation, and pay structures.
Ability to manage multiple projects with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Clear communicator who can partner effectively across HR and business teams.
A collaborative and curious mindset, with a drive to improve processes and deliver value.
