DraftKings is growing quickly and we’re looking for a Lead Software Engineer to help establish and lead a team-centered around the mission of providing a best-in-class experience for our customers. In this position you will showcase your strong technical skills and a bias toward collaboration. You will be working across teams, informing business decisions, and helping to expand our enterprise software platform.
What you’ll do as a Lead Software Engineer
Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple regions within DraftKings to define requirements and engineer solutions that are scalable, robust, and reliable.
Build solutions for internal DraftKings systems, these will include bespoke systems and 3rd party products that constitute the DraftKings ecosystem. E.g., HR systems, IT provisioning systems, finance, etc.
Lead the development team daily operations, deliverables, incidents, and agile ceremonies as well as introduce new practices where needed.
Participate in the Hands-On Development, Design, and Delivery of reliable solutions with multiple technologies such as Boomi or AWS and lead the discussions when introducing new tools into the team ecosystem.
Enjoy a challenging and changing day-to-day working on coding, DevOps, databases, and infrastructure.
What you’ll bring
Expertise in some integration tools like Boomi, Workato, MuleSoft, BizTalk.
Experience as the ‘expert’ on a development team where you are responsible for the whole development cycle of new features and their maintenance.
Knowledge of PaaS/SaaS/IaaS technologies like Azure or AWS. Knowledge of security concepts would be an advantage.
Skilled in leading a development team, helping to solve blockers, managing priorities, and fostering a positive work environment.
Understanding of how to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions that people will adopt and utilize.
Well-versed in full-stack development with strong backend knowledge in object-oriented languages like C#, Java and being able to wear multiple hats.
