The Crown Is Yours

DraftKings is growing quickly and we’re looking for a Senior Tech Lead to direct our engineering teams and influence our product roadmap. This is more than a technical position, though. You’ll be collaborating across teams, informing our business decisions, and creatively finding solutions to all of our scaling challenges.

What you’ll do as a Senior Tech Lead

• Take ownership for the design, development, maintenance, testing strategy, and operations of API services written primarily in C# with SQL and NoSQL databases hosted in AWS.

• Collaborate with business leads across the company to define milestones and deliveries on very short time frames for new functionality to be added to existing systems.

• You will be the first voice for the engineering organization on the systems your team owns.

• Manage design review meetings, planning high scale solutions, and review the existing solutions.

• Lead your team in design sessions and ensure your team delivers high-quality work that aligns with DraftKings' engineering strategy.

What you’ll bring

• At least 4 years of experience as a Technical Lead in large size organization or at least 2 years as an Architect in a small/mid size organization.

• At least 7 years of experience working in Agile Scrum environment, delivering projects E2E to production and evolving them.

• A solid knowledge in microservices architecture and NoSql databases.

• Ideally, you have experience as the ‘expert’ on a development team where you were responsible for everything from planning to delivering key features and management of those features.

• Solid cloud-native experience with containerized microservices, data grids, auto-scaling, and managed infrastructures.

• Expertise with at least one object-oriented language like C# or Java.

• Familiarity with AWS services and infrastructure.

• You also have the ability to write automated comprehensive test suites at all levels of the architecture.

• Excellent troubleshooting skills, real-time decision-making, and responsiveness to problem-solving that put the customer experience first.
