DraftKings is growing quickly and we’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to develop one of the core technologies for the DraftKings Retail Product offering. In this role, you will develop and test scalable, efficient, and extensible software components and integrate them with already existing architecture. You’ll work closely with other engineers, architects, and product owners to maintain a high bar of quality across the entire organization. What you’ll do as a Senior Software Engineer

• Work with our teams of highly skilled and talented engineers and architects to create, design, and implement best-in-class Retail Sportsbook Software for our customers.

• Develop sophisticated and immersive sportsbook solutions, and dashboard visualizations, and manipulate large and complex datasets for terminal and cashier experiences.

​Product Development:

• Work closely with the product team to understand the product vision and design and help bring that vision to life.

• Help create top-of-the-line features that drive DraftKings as a leading sportsbook and casino experience provider in the USA and internationally.

Engineering R&D:

• Create modern and visually appealing user interfaces for web applications, ensuring a seamless user experience.

• Develop scalable software components based on modern front-end frameworks.

• Consume services and APIs hosted on modern infrastructure with full automation capabilities

• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to maintain the integrity of the front-end codebase.

Code Quality:

• Ensure that the codebase is well-organized, maintainable, and meets the high standards of the company.

• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other software engineers.

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience in building customer-facing Web Applications

• Expertise in JavaScript and popular UI frameworks such as React and/or Angular, Vue.js etc.

• Solid knowledge of responsive web design, JavaScript object model, DOM manipulation, and core web technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3.

• Experience in developing REST API using JavaScript (ES6+).

• Familiarity with modern testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress)

• Working knowledge of Git.

• Background working across the stack and understanding how all the pieces fit together (front-end, middleware, backend, etc.) will be a major advantage.

• .NET / C# experience is not required but is a definite plus.

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and critical thinking.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate enthusiastically, clearly, and concisely with both technical and non-technical staff.
