#LI-HybridTeam Overview
We are looking for a data-driven Finance Business Partner to act as the financial navigator for our multiple key stakeholders. This is not a back-office accounting role; it is a strategic partnership position. You will embed yourself within the marketing teams to understand their workflows, monitor expenditure with granular detail, and ensure every dollar spent aligns with our strategic goals.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and unafraid to ask the hard questions. You will be expected to build strong relationships with function teams like Marketing, PR and GA while maintaining the independence to challenge campaign proposals, flag risks, and ensure financial discipline.
Beyond traditional financial stewardship, you will be a catalyst for our AI Transformation. We are looking for someone who proactively leverages artificial intelligence to automate routine tasks, uncover deeper data insights, and help both the finance team and business stakeholders work smarter
Role Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Partnership & Constructive Challenge
-
Cross-Departmental Engagement: Establish structured communication routines with department heads. Understand the daily workflows, objectives, and resource needs of each team you support.
-
Business Case Evaluation: Act as a "Critical Friend." Review proposals for campaigns, software implementations, and operational investments. Challenge assumptions, stress-test ROI projections, and flag financial risks before money is spent.
-
Workflow Integration: Map the operational workflows of your partner departments to identify process bottlenecks or areas for cost optimization.
2. Financial Analysis & Executive Reporting
-
Granular Spend Tracking: Monitor departmental expenditure meticulously (by project, vendor, and exact category). Ensure absolute data integrity and correct cost allocation.
-
Rolling Forecasts: Lead the monthly forecast cycles for your partner departments, adjusting projections dynamically based on business shifts.
-
Variance Analysis & Executive Summaries: Perform rigorous monthly variance analysis (Actuals vs. Budget vs. Forecast). Translate complex financial data into concise, actionable executive summaries for leadership.
3. AI Integration & Process Transformation
-
AI Tool Adoption: Proactively utilize AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT Advanced Data Analysis, Microsoft Copilot, or specialized AI finance software) to accelerate data processing, anomaly detection, and scenario modeling.
-
Workflow Automation: Identify manual, repetitive finance workflows (like data consolidation or initial variance commentary) and implement AI or automation solutions to streamline them.
-
Team Upskilling: Act as an AI champion. Guide and train your business partners and finance peers on how to safely and effectively use AI tools to improve their daily financial hygiene and decision-making.
Role Qualifications
The Ideal Candidate
-
Constructively Skeptical: You are comfortable asking "why?" and "prove it." You can push back on a weak business case respectfully but firmly, regardless of the stakeholder's seniority.
-
Tech-Forward & Adaptable: You don't wait for IT to hand you a new tool; you actively explore how generative AI and automation can make your job faster and more accurate.
-
Detail-Oriented & Data-Driven: You anchor your arguments in hard numbers and notice the small discrepancies that others miss.
-
Exceptional Communicator: You can explain complex financial realities to non-finance leaders clearly, bridging the gap between operational goals and budget constraints.
Requirements
-
Experience: 4–6 years of experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Business Partnering supporting multiple business units.
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or a related field.
-
Technical & AI Skills:
-
Advanced proficiency in Excel (complex modeling, Power Query) and ERP systems.
-
Demonstrable experience using Generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) for professional productivity, data analysis, or process improvement.
-
Familiarity with Data Visualization (Tableau, PowerBI) is highly preferred.
-
-
Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence to manage stakeholder pushback, coupled with professional skepticism.
