We are looking for a naturally curious, analytical, and business-oriented student who is excited to learn how strategic investment decisions are made while supporting the growth of one of our portfolio companies and the evaluation of future investment opportunities.
As a Business & Investment Intern, you will work closely with our Investment team to support real business challenges that combine strategy, operations, finance, and market analysis. You will collaborate closely with experienced professionals to analyze business performance, maintain financial tools, research industries, and support strategic initiatives across different projects. You'll gain exposure to business analysis, financial planning, market research, and investment evaluation.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work across different business functions, industries, and markets, providing hands-on experience in how high-growth ventures are built, operated, and evaluated.
Role Responsibilities
- Support the operational and financial follow-up of portfolio companies by tracking key business metrics and helping monitor performance against business objectives.
- Assist in maintaining and updating existing financial models used for business planning and performance analysis.
- Conduct market research and industry analysis to support the evaluation of potential investment opportunities.
- Help screen potential companies by gathering information and preparing summaries for internal discussions.
- Prepare presentations, business summaries, and analytical materials to support internal discussions and strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects related to business operations, commercial performance, logistics, and growth initiatives.
- Analyze operational and commercial data to identify trends, generate insights, and support recommendations for business improvements.
- Assist in tracking OKRs and other key performance indicators across different business areas.
- Support ad-hoc strategic projects across the Investment and Portfolio Management teams.
Role Qualifications
- Student currently pursuing a degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Has solid Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic financial analysis) and is comfortable working with numbers.
- Strong analytical and logical/structured thinking with the ability to solve problems using data and business judgment.
- Basic understanding of financial concepts such as P&L, Cash Flow, costs, and financial statements.
- Has a strong interest in business strategy, startups, investments, or entrepreneurship.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly explain ideas and recommendations.
- Curious, proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Intermediate-advanced English.
- Experience through internships, student organizations, investment clubs, consulting clubs, case competitions, or entrepreneurship activities is a plus.
