#LI-HybridAbout the team/role
You will own Strategy & Planning for DiDi Premier, our flagship high-end product designed to redefine urban mobility through a better and reliable experience. Premier is one of DiDi's priority growth categories in Latin America, live and scaling in Mexico. Our mission is to curate a seamless ecosystem where every touchpoint, for both passengers and drivers, reflects a premium standard.
We are looking for an experienced strategist and operator to own the category's planning backbone: the growth and financial models, the operating rhythm, the executive narrative, the product agenda, and the incubation of what comes next. You will report to the head of the category and operate as a peer to the leads of its operating teams, owning the function that keeps the plan honest, tells the story to senior leadership, sets the product agenda across the category, and runs the high-ambiguity projects that do not fit anywhere else. This is a role for someone who can set the strategy for their own scope and then go execute it.
In this role, you'll be...
Owning the plan and the numbers
- Building the category's operational and financial models for new markets, and maintaining and recalibrating them for live ones (volume, supply, unit economics, budget)
- Setting targets and ramp plans; tracking plan vs actuals, flagging inflections early, and driving the reforecast
- Serving as the category's single point of alignment with Finance and central operations teams so the business runs on one version of the truth
Driving the executive narrative
- Owning the operating rhythm: the recurring business reviews and leadership updates that keep the category on plan
- Designing and delivering the category narrative to regional and global leadership: crisp storylines that drive decisions, not data dumps
Owning the product agenda
- Consolidating product needs across the category's teams into a single prioritized roadmap, running the tradeoffs so the highest-impact features win
- Acting as the category's interface to the product organization: translating strategy into product requirements and championing them through to delivery
- Sequencing product investment against the plan and unit economics
Incubating what comes next
- Leading new use-case and business-innovation initiatives end to end: strategy, business case, pilot design, go/no-go
- Owning projects without a natural home in the operating teams: framing them, sizing them, running them, handing them over or killing them, with a clear view on return on investment
- Running a quarterly research loop that turns market, competitor, and user insight into concrete program changes
Leading cross-functional launches
- Leading the category's new-market launches end to end: readiness criteria, cross-team workplan, launch gates, post-launch review
- Aligning stakeholders across operations, marketing, finance, product, and legal
Building the operating system
- Driving OKR alignment and the annual and quarterly planning cycles, and keeping the category's strategy framework current
- Leading internal tooling and AI adoption for the team
We're eager to be in touch because you have...
-
A strategy background with real ownership: 6+ years in strategy consulting, BizOps, corporate strategy, or strategy and planning roles; engagement-manager level or equivalent. Experience in ride-hailing, marketplaces, or high-growth operations is a plus. You have owned a plan (market entry, category strategy, turnaround) from framing through execution, not just the analysis behind one.
Modeling depth that survives scrutiny: You can build a market P&L from scratch and defend every assumption to a leadership audience. Strong working proficiency in SQL or the demonstrated ability to get there fast: you pull your own numbers and design metrics that hold up.
Executive communication at regional level: Structured storytelling, crisp writing, and presence in the room where decisions get made. Spanish and English fluency required.
A cross-functional leadership instinct: You have led projects with stakeholders senior to you and teams that do not report to you. You run on influence, not authority, and you treat stakeholder alignment as real work, not overhead.
Range and a bias for action: You switch altitude from board narrative to query debugging in the same day. You navigate ambiguity, build the roadmap rather than waiting for one, and drive workstreams to completion without a perfect plan up front.
You'll love working at DiDi because...
