As our Food and New Products businesses continue to scale in Colombia and Central America, we’re creating a dedicated leadership role to bring the consumer voice to the center of our communications strategy.
This role exists to bridge business ambition with real human stories, turning products into narratives people trust, choose, and advocate for.

Our new Head of Food & New Products Communications – Colombia & Central America will lead consumer-facing communications across the region, with a strong focus on storytelling, brand relevance, and business impact.
You’ll be a core member of the Spanish-Speaking Latin America (SSL) Communications Leadership Team, working closely with Marketing, Product, Operations, Policy, and Commercial teams to shape how our food, retail, and emerging product offerings show up in culture, media, and everyday conversations.
This is a highly strategic, hands-on leadership role — ideal for someone who loves setting direction and executing with excellence.
Role Responsibilities
- Define and execute the communications strategy for DiDi Food and new products across Colombia and Central America.
- Translate complex products and business priorities into clear, compelling stories that resonate with consumers, merchants, and partners.
- Work side by side with product, marketing, ops, and commercial teams to align launches, campaigns, and growth initiatives.
- Ensure consumer insights and data inform every narrative and communication decision.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier media, creators, and key external stakeholders.
- Anticipate reputational opportunities and risks, and act decisively.
- Design data-driven PR strategies with clear KPIs tied to awareness, consideration, trust, and growth.
- Measure impact, optimize continuously, and raise the bar on execution.
- Lead by example in moments that require speed, creativity, and judgment.
- Manage agencies and internal partners with clarity, ambition, and high standards.
Role Qualifications
- We’re prioritizing mindset, judgment, and impact over buzzwords.
- 6+ years of experience in consumer communications, ideally within retail, food delivery, e-commerce, or consumer tech brands.
- Proven ability to lead brand-building and growth-driven communications.
- Native Spanish and professional proficiency in English.
- Strong storytelling skills — written, verbal, and visual.
- A data-driven approach to communications, with comfort using insights, metrics, and experimentation.
- A collaborative leadership style with a strong point of view.
- High energy, adaptability, and a genuine love for building things.
