The Driver Growth team at DiDi is responsible for driving the end-to-end onboarding and lifecycle management of drivers across Latin America. The scope spans multiple acquisition channels, conversion funnel, product, CRM strategies, and lifecycle engagement programs—across product lines and regional markets. The team operates at the intersection of data, product, and operations, with a strong emphasis on analytical rigor and user-centric thinking.
Joining this team offers a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the fastest-growing technology companies in the region. You’ll lead a high-performing, close-knit group focused on launching, scaling, and optimizing initiatives that drectly impact the supply side of our platform. Candidates should be comfortable working in a dynamic environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to turn insights into actionable business outcomes are essential for success in this role.
Role Responsibilities
As a Senior Manager within Driver Growth, you will own the strategy and execution of two critical pillars of growth: Top-of-Funnel Acquisition and Conversion, Product, and Lifecycle Optimization across Spanish-speaking Latin America. You will lead and develop two high-performing teams, driving sustainable supply growth through a combination of channel excellence, product-led conversion, and data-driven decision-making.
You will be accountable for defining the vision, priorities, and operating model for your teams—ensuring alignment with broader regional and central strategy while translating goals into clear execution plans and measurable outcomes.
Specifically, you will:
- Own the end-to-end growth strategy across acquisition, conversion, and onboarding, balancing short-term performance with long-term scalability and efficiency.
- Lead two teams:
- An Acquisition team managing top-of-funnel channels
- A Conversion & Product team focused on onboarding funnels, CRM initiatives, in-app experience, and product features that drive activation and early lifecycle success.
- Set direction and priorities for both teams, including channel strategy, experimentation roadmaps, and product initiatives, while ensuring tight linkage to business KPIs.
- Own channel and budget planning, allocation, and optimization across acquisition and conversion, using data to continuously rebalance investments based on performance and strategic goals.
- Design and lead complex, cross-functional initiatives in partnership with Product, S&P, Business Intelligence, Finance, Pricing, Legal, and external partners—driving alignment from strategy through execution.
- Define and monitor success metrics, identify bottlenecks across the funnel, and lead corrective actions through structured problem-solving and rapid iteration.
- Drive a strong experimentation culture, leveraging A/B testing and test-and-learn frameworks to validate hypotheses and scale winning solutions.
- Develop and retain top talent, coaching managers and ICs, setting a high bar for performance, and building a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Navigate ambiguity with confidence, using data, critical thinking, and judgment to make decisions in fast-moving, high-impact environments.
This role is ideal for a senior leader who enjoys operating at the intersection of growth, product, data, and people leadership, and who is motivated by building systems and teams that scale.
Role Qualifications
We’re looking for a senior, well-rounded leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, and who is energized by owning complex growth problems end to end.
You bring:
- 6–9 years of relevant experience in growth, product operations, consulting, investment banking, strategy, or tech operations—ideally within high-growth, data-driven organizations.
- Proven people leadership experience, including leading managers or multi-disciplinary teams, building high performers, and creating accountability and motivation at scale.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-first mindset and the ability to turn insights into clear business actions.
- Experience working closely with product and CRM teams, including ownership or deep involvement in onboarding funnels, lifecycle initiatives, or in-app experience optimization.
- Hands-on familiarity with experimentation frameworks, including A/B testing design, execution, and interpretation to guide decisions.
- Comfort working with data and tools, including proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets and exposure to SQL, Python, R, or similar analytical tools.
- Strong user-centric thinking, with the ability to deeply understand user needs and align growth and product strategies to a compelling value proposition.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a track record of influencing cross-functional teams and aligning diverse perspectives toward shared goals.
- A proactive, ownership-driven mindset, thriving in ambiguity and comfortable making decisions in fast-paced environments.
- A passion for efficiency and innovation, with curiosity around automation, AI, and scalable processes to improve speed and impact.
- Fluency in English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
