#LI-HybridTeam Overview
This role is focused on deeply understanding partner needs and improving their overall experience, so they can truly see 99Food as a reliable and trustworthy partner. We’re looking for a team player who embraces shared responsibility across the business — someone who contributes to decision-making and prioritization with a holistic view.
You’ll be expected to collaborate with other squads if needed, just as they’ll support yours — that’s the spirit we value. We seek a mindset of continuous improvement and cross-team partnership, fostering a culture that is both collaborative and solution-oriented.
Role Responsibilities
- Continuously optimize the merchant-side food category taxonomy, including category trees, dish labels, and tagging frameworks, ensuring they are scalable, structured, and aligned with local market realities.
- Define, standardize, and govern dish attributes and menu information schemas, improving the coverage, consistency, and accuracy of core menu data across the platform.
- Lead menu information governance initiatives, including data quality rules, validation mechanisms, and lifecycle management, to strengthen the platform’s food catalog infrastructure.
- Analyze merchant supply structures and menu composition to identify gaps and opportunities, driving improvements in category completeness and attribute adoption.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Tech, Merchant Operations, and Local Market teams to translate category and menu insights into actionable product or operational solutions.
- Participate in the design and execution of category-level operational strategies, supporting merchant growth, operational efficiency, and user experience improvements.
- Monitor key metrics related to menu quality, category coverage, and attribute accuracy, and continuously iterate based on data and field feedback.
- Support localization efforts by incorporating Brazil-specific food culture, cuisine structures, and merchant behaviors into category and menu system design.
Role Qualifications
- A strong understanding of food delivery platforms, merchant-side operations, or category/menu management, ideally in a marketplace or O2O environment.
- Hands-on experience in taxonomy design, information architecture, data governance, or structured content operations (menu, catalog, or SKU-level data is a strong plus).
- The ability to balance system-level thinking with on-the-ground operational realities, especially when working with diverse merchant types.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data to identify problems, validate hypotheses, and measure impact.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with experience working alongside Product, Engineering, and Operations teams.
- High attention to detail combined with the ability to think long-term and design scalable frameworks.
- Curiosity about local markets and food cultures, with the adaptability to work in a Brazilian market context.
- Proficiency in English
