Team Overview

The Central Operations team is responsible for designing, aligning and ensuring the execution of the strategy for DiDi's Mobility business in Spanish-Speaking LatAm, and allocating resources for the most strategic projects in the region.


Working in this team will allow you to have direct exposure with leaders across all functions in the organization, from Operations to Customer Experience and Safety, while having a direct impact on millions of Passengers and Drivers across nine countries as you shape our investment strategy for core projects.


You and your team will own the relationship with multiple teams and leaders, helping them design the path to execute their strategies, define their goals, and ultimately allocate resources between projects and initiatives aiming for the best results in the long term.


You will also be responsible for organizing and leading major business milestones, such as Quarterly Business Reviews and Monthly Strategy discussions, giving you a big-picture view of the business while engaging in key conversations.

Role Responsibilities


  • Contribute to the long-term business strategy using internal, external, qualitative and quantitative data with a strategic, data-driven and user-centric approach.

  • Contribute to the development of investment methodologies and frameworks, to make the best resource allocation decisions that lead us to our strategic goals.

  • Manage cross-functional projects & stakeholders to make sure every area is aligned with our strategic and tactical guidelines while contributing towards the same goal.

  • Optimize resource allocation to ensure we reach our business goals through investment decisions across cities and channels guided by a data-driven and business-driven mindset.

  • Oversee the execution of initiatives in your markets coordinating with all relevant functions, reacting quickly to changes in the marketplace, always aiming to anticipate different scenarios and having clear governance mechanisms.

  • Clear strategic thinking: You are able to navigate ambiguous, data-rich environments to define a strategic vision and structure it into actionable components for a team.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills: You consistently exert a positive influence on other teams and have change their direction if needed, aligning multiple functions and people towards the same goal.

  • Proven people and project manager: You have a track-record managing multi-functional projects and are able to achieve results together with teams that do not report directly to you. You have a track record of managing a team and developing key talent.

  • Detail-focused, hands-on implementation: You should be excited about experimenting, figuring out how to get things done yourself and failing fast so that we can continuously improve. You thrive on executing a project, showing an impact, and moving onto the next challenge.

  • Data-driven: The use of logic and data is central to your decision-making process. It is paramount to the strategies you craft and decisions you make.

  • Fast mover: You have demonstrated success in high-performance environments (e.g. experience in startups, finance, or management consulting).

  • 6+ years of previous professional experience in strategic, analytical, operational, and/or product roles.

  • Fluent in English and Spanish.

  • Based in Bogota.
