Join our dynamic and impactful Research, Insights & Analytics team, a group of curious, people-centric, and data-driven professionals dedicated to understanding our users and solving critical business challenges. As the guardian of user understanding, our team leverages both first-party and third-party data to listen to our users, identify their pain points and perceptions, and connect these insights with key business performance indicators. We translate complex research findings into clear, actionable business language, driving informed decision-making across the organization.


Role Responsibilities

Role Overview:


As a Senior Analyst of Consumer Insights, you will play a role in uncovering deep and actionable insights about our consumers to fuel strategic business decisions. You will be responsible for leading research initiatives focused on understanding consumer behavior, attitudes, and motivations. This includes designing and executing a variety of research methodologies, analyzing complex data sets, and translating findings into compelling narratives and recommendations for stakeholders across different teams and levels, including senior leadership. You will be a key contributor to shaping our understanding of the market and our users, ultimately driving growth and improving user experiences.


Responsibilities:



  • Lead and Manage Consumer Research Projects: Design, execute, and manage a wide range of consumer research projects, including quantitative surveys, qualitative interviews, focus groups, and observational studies.

  • Develop Research Plans: Define research objectives, methodologies, and timelines to address specific business questions and information needs related to consumer behavior and market trends.

  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze complex data from various sources (primary research, secondary data, internal data) using analytical techniques to identify key insights and patterns.

  • Insight Synthesis and Storytelling: Translate complex data and research findings into clear, concise, and compelling stories, highlighting key insights and their implications for the business.

  • Develop Actionable Recommendations: Formulate data-driven and strategic recommendations based on research findings to inform product development, marketing strategies and overall business decisions.

  • Present Findings to Stakeholders: Effectively communicate research results and recommendations to diverse audiences, including product managers, marketing teams, engineering, and senior leadership, through presentations, reports, and visualizations.

  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner closely with product, marketing and other teams to integrate consumer insights into their strategies and decision-making processes.

  • Manage External Research Vendors: Collaborate with and manage external research vendors to ensure the quality and effectiveness of outsourced research projects.

  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Continuously monitor and evaluate new research methodologies, tools, and industry trends to enhance the team's capabilities and provide innovative insights.

  • Proficiency in Research Methodologies: Deep understanding and practical experience in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and their application.

  • Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex information and insights both verbally and in writing to diverse audiences.

  • Storytelling with Data: Ability to translate data into compelling narratives and visualizations that resonate with stakeholders.

  • Strong Business Acumen: Understanding of business principles, market dynamics, and how consumer insights can drive business growth.

  • Collaboration and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships.

  • Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

  • Proactivity and Initiative: Ability to independently identify research opportunities and propose solutions to business challenges.

  • Customer Focus: A genuine interest in understanding consumer behavior and a commitment to advocating for the user's perspective.

  • Creativity: Ability to think outside the box and develop innovative approaches to research and insight generation.

  • Attention to Detail: Thoroughness and accuracy in all aspects of research design, execution, and analysis.


Must Know:



  • Advanced Knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint: High-level proficiency in these tools for data manipulation, analysis, and presentation.

  • Advanced English Skills: Fluency in English for reading, listening, and speaking, essential for collaborating in a potentially international environment and accessing global research.

  • Statistical Knowledge: Understanding of statistical concepts and experience applying various statistical techniques to analyze research data.

  • Significant Experience in Consumer Insights/Market Research: A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in consumer insights or market research roles.

  • Understanding of User-Centered Principles: Familiarity with user-centered design principles and methodologies may be required depending on the specific focus of the role.

  • Ability to Embrace Change and Navigate Complexity: Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
