Curology is looking for a CRM Manager to execute and optimize lifecycle marketing campaigns that deepen engagement and drive retention across our Curology and Agency brands. Sitting within the Lifecycle team, this role focuses on the day-to-day management of campaigns in email, SMS, and push, working across functions to bring CRM programs to life with excellence and precision.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, execution-focused, and data-savvy; comfortable managing campaign operations while continuously improving performance through testing and iteration. - Essential Duties and Job Functions
- Develop and execute a comprehensive CRM strategy aimed at driving measurable improvements in customer engagement increasing CTR, reducing churn, and driving revenue growth through customer LTV.
- Own end-to-end CRM campaign execution: oversee calendar planning, template development, QA/testing (email rendering, triggers, data feeds), and flawless deployment to ensure timely, personalized customer touchpoints.
- Build and optimize automated lifecycle journeys (e.g., welcome series, win-back, reactivation), targeting key lifecycle milestones to increase conversion rate by 30%, retention rate by 10%, and winback rate by 50%.
- Manage and scale customer segmentation strategy: ensure clean, actionable data sets, audience definitions, and targeting logic to support hyper-personalized messaging. Maintain best-in-class database hygiene, deliverability (achieve >X% inbox placement), and compliance with global privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Lead CRM performance reporting: analyze KPIs such as open rates, CTR, conversion rates, and revenue per send. Identify trends, surface actionable insights, and apply learnings to optimize campaign strategy. Execute A/B tests with statistical rigor to improve campaign performance..
Proactively manage CRM tech stack and integrations: identify inefficiencies, recommend enhancements, and partner with engineering/product to ensure seamless data flow and campaign orchestration. - Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in CRM/retention marketing to ensure Curology remains competitive and innovative.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in CRM ops or lifecycle marketing, preferably in a direct-to-consumer (D2C) or subscription-based business.
- Hands-on experience deploying communications through email marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Braze, Iterable) and with customer data management.
- Strong understanding of email deliverability & compliance best practices and regulatory requirements (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.)
- CRM technical skills: Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email builds, design and deliverability best practices
- Solid analytical skills: Strong ability to analyze data, derive insights, and translate them into actionable strategies. Experience with campaign reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Excel, Tableau, or similar).
- Experience with A/B Testing: Familiarity with A/B and multivariate testing strategies for optimizing campaigns.
- Knowledge of CRM Best Practices: Understanding of CRM best practices, customer lifecycle stages, and how to drive retention and re-engagement.
- Project management skills: Able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality execution and a keen eye for detail in campaign development.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate results clearly.

Salary Range: $140-180k (placement in range dependent on location and experience)
