Curology is seeking a first-of-its-kind AI Discovery & Product Training Lead to help us shape the future of skincare search and recommendation. This role will bridge machine learning, structured product data, and real-world skincare knowledge to ensure that AI agents—from ChatGPT to Amazon Rufus—accurately surface and recommend Curology products to the right people, in the right contexts, with the right message.

You’ll work at the intersection of product, data, and marketing—owning the AI training pipeline for how our products are interpreted and represented across the most important consumer discovery platforms.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze and test AI product search results (e.g., ChatGPT, Perplexity, TikTok, Google SGE) to identify gaps in how Curology appears across platforms
  • Write and refine training prompts, structured responses, and ingestible data formats for large language models and AI discovery tools
  • Collaborate with Product, Growth, and Clinical teams to ensure product attributes, claims, and safety data are cleanly structured and consistently tagged
  • Create and maintain taxonomies and skin condition ontologies (e.g., mapping “hormonal acne” to “tretinoin” and “niacinamide”)
  • Partner with legal and clinical teams to ensure AI-facing content and claims are compliant but compelling

Strategic Work

  • Lead roadmap for Curology’s integration with AI agent platforms (e.g., Amazon Rufus, OpenAI plug-ins, TikTok Shop AI tools)
  • Work with external partners and platforms to improve AI-based discoverability and conversion of Curology’s products
  • Design and run experiments to test prompt engineering and AI response shaping across different query types (“best acne routine for sensitive skin,” etc.)
  • Develop internal dashboards and feedback loops for tracking what AI agents are recommending and how it drives traffic, signups, or drop-off
  • Advise on how to extend this framework into future use cases—agent-based reordering, regimen optimization, Rx education
  • 4+ years in product strategy, ecommerce data, taxonomy architecture, or AI applications
  • Experience with LLMs and AI systems (OpenAI, Claude, Perplexity, GPT plug-ins, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of product metadata, tagging, and structured content strategy
  • Bonus: background in beauty, skincare, healthtech, or DTC personalization
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator across disciplines—this is a cross-functional, creator-operator role
  • Work From Home
  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Retirement Plan (401k)
  • Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)
  • Flexible Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
  • Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity)
  • Training & Development
  • Wellness Resources

Salary Range: $160-190k (placement in range dependent on location and experience)
