Performance marketing is a key driver of Curology’s success. We have built a robust direct marketing program and are now looking for a Senior Director who can build on our success and take performance to the next level. We are seeking a team leader that has deep hands-on marketing experience, loves to develop top talent and has shown the ability to drive scale in a cost-effective manner. Your work will be critical to Curology’s continued growth and you will have the opportunity to help shape the business in key ways through our marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive customer acquisition strategy, aligned with the company's overall business goals and growth targets, for both the Curology and Agency brands.
  • Manage acquisition budgets and allocate resources effectively to maximize results and meet acquisition targets. Manage tactic allocation outcomes and media pacing, ensuring goals are achieved and media efficiency is maximized.
  • Identify, evaluate and launch new acquisition channels and opportunities to expand the customer base and drive revenue growth.
  • Consistently innovate by leveraging internal market research and insights, as well as the latest trends and developments in customer acquisition, to inform acquisition strategies and tactics.
  • Monitor and examine key performance indicators (KPIs) related to customer acquisition, such as cost per acquisition (CPA), conversion rates, customer lifetime value (CLV), and work with team members to optimize campaigns and improve performance; leverage both LTA and MMM attribution models.
  • Build A-class growth technology stack: attribution, bidding automation, analytics tools, creative and campaign automation, etc.
  • Oversee the growth creative studio, delivering effective creative that meets business goalsUtilize customer analytics and segmentation to personalize and optimize acquisition campaigns, targeting the right audience with the right messaging at the right time.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in customer acquisition, and apply insights to enhance acquisition strategies and tactics.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors, agencies, and technology partners to leverage their expertise, tools, and platforms for optimal acquisition campaign execution.
  • Provide regular reports and presentations to senior management, highlighting acquisition performance, key insights, and recommendations for future growth initiatives.
  • Head up and manage a team of customer acquisition specialists, providing strategic direction, guidance, and support to achieve acquisition targets and foster team growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, brand marketing, product & monetization, and data analytics, to align customer acquisition efforts with overall business goals and ensure a seamless customer journey.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the customer acquisition team and across the organization.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years marketing experience with 4+ years of people management experience; preferably in the DTC industry
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business, or a related field. A relevant master's degree is a plus.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with proven experience building, managing, inspiring and leading a high-impact team.
  • A “player-coach” that leads by example and levels up everyone around them by sharing their experience and setting a collaborative team work style.
  • Deep understanding of ad attribution and tracking methodologies and a successful track record of measuring and delivering on performance targets.
  • Proven comprehension of performance KPIs and the ability to leverage data to assess the impact of your programs and pull out actionable insights.
  • Experience defining audiences, markets, and targeting to optimize campaign performance and drive acquisition.
  • Must be proactive, accountable, collaborative, flexible, and welcome change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting/speaking in front of senior leadership.
  • You understand marketing technology and can give technical teams strategic direction
  • You understand and can operate basic financial forecast models to inform revenue planning
  • Previous experience with Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager and TikTok Ads.
  • Experience with television and streaming advertising is a plus.
