The Role

Conceivable is looking for a strategic, hands-on finance leader to build and lead the finance function during a pivotal stage of company growth.

Reporting directly to the President and partnering closely with the CEO and Leadership team, you will own the company's financial strategy, planning, accounting, and financial operations. You'll serve as a trusted thought partner to the executive team and Board while ensuring the financial discipline required to scale a venture-backed biotechnology company.

Strategic Finance:

• Lead company-wide financial planning, forecasting, and long-range planning
• Partner with the CEO, President and executive team on strategic decision making, capital allocation, and resource planning
• Lead financial modeling and scenario analysis to support company growth and key investment decisions
• Prepare Board reporting and investor materials
• Play a leadership role in the company's future financing activities
• Develop KPIs and operating metrics that provide visibility into company performance and capital efficiency

Accounting and Financial Operations:

• Own the company’s day-to-day accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong financial controls
• Oversee the monthly close, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, expense management, and cash reporting
• Manage cash flow, treasury activities, and short- and long-term liquidity planning
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and regulatory obligations
• Manage external accounting firms, auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers
• Build scalable financial systems, policies, and controls that support the company as it grows

Business Partnership:

• Serve as a strategic advisor to functional leaders across R&D, Engineering, Clinical, and Commercial Operations
• Evaluate investments across technology, automation, laboratory operations, and commercial expansion
• Help build a culture of financial accountability while enabling innovation and thoughtful risk-taking

What We're Looking For:

• Progressive finance experience across high-growth technology, life sciences, and/ or biotechnology companies
• Experience leading finance at a venture-backed company through rapid growth and institutional scaling
• Meaningful experience supporting venture fundraising, including Series B or later financings
• Strong foundation across FP&A, accounting, and strategic finance
• Experience managing external accounting firms, auditors, and financial service providers
• Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with founders, executives, Boards, and investors
• Comfortable building processes from the ground up while remaining highly hands-on
• CPA, investment banking, consulting, or corporate finance background is a plus
