Position Overview

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to join our team full-time. This role is focused on building and maintaining backend and frontend systems that support the AURA platform. The engineer will contribute to the full software development lifecycle—from architecture and design to deployment and monitoring—working closely with multidisciplinary teams including robotics, clinical operations, and quality assurance.

The ideal candidate is technically strong, highly collaborative, and motivated by solving real-world problems through elegant and maintainable code.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and frontend components
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build systems that support IVF lab workflows
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and software testing
• Write clean, modular, and scalable code aligned with software engineering best practices
• Support system integration efforts across AURA hardware and clinical applications
• Contribute to documentation, testing, and continuous improvement of the software stack

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software development
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, C++, TypeScript, or Java)
• Experience building APIs and working with relational or NoSQL databases
• Experience with embedded software development
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and modular architecture
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Fluency in Spanish and working proficiency in English
• Based in Guadalajara or Mexico City

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, or containerization tools
• Familiarity with Django, PostgreSQL, or microservice architectures
• Familiarity with electronics and divers implementation
