Our Mission and Opportunity
Early education is one of the greatest determinants of childhood outcomes, is a must for working families, and has lasting social and economic impact. Brightwheel’s vision is high quality early education for every child. We pursue this by directly supporting teachers in the classroom, engaging parents in the development of their kids, and enabling the small businesses that make up the backbone of the $175 billion early education industry. Brightwheel is the most loved technology brand in early education, trusted by tens of thousands of providers and millions of educators and families.
Our Team
Our team is passionate, talented, and customer-focused. We embody our Leadership Principles in our work and culture. We are a fully remote team with employees across every time zone in the US. Our exceptional investor group includes Addition, Bessemer, Emerson Collective, Lowercase Capital, Mark Cuban, Notable Capital, and others.
Who You Are
You’re a thoughtful, hands-on HR leader who thrives in ambiguity and builds from scratch. You operate with a strong ownership mindset—seeing problems through to resolution without needing direction. You’re values-driven and culturally aware, capable of translating global strategy into locally relevant execution. You influence through trust and clarity, and you believe in holding a high bar for performance, accountability, and alignment.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the first in-country HRBP supporting our Islamabad-based sales team
- Own day-to-day HR operations in Pakistan including employee relations, policy rollout, and in-office onboarding
- Collaborate closely with the US-based HRBP team to apply performance frameworks, share insights from the field, and influence people strategy
- Build and localize HR policies and benefits that align with brightwheel values and comply with Pakistani labor law
- Partner directly with local leadership to coach through feedback, accountability, and team dynamics
- Create clarity in ambiguity by designing simple, effective systems where none yet exist
What You’ve Done
- Served as an HR Business Partner supporting the Pakistan office of a US-based company, acting as the primary in-country HR lead and aligning local execution with global people strategy
- Handled employee relations and performance management cases locally, including coaching managers through difficult situations
- Built or adapted HR policies to meet Pakistan labor law while aligning with a global company’s values and philosophy
- Advised business leaders in Pakistan on talent decisions, compliance risks, and people strategy
- Operated independently with minimal support—demonstrating sound judgment and high autonomy in a fast-paced environment
- Worked fluently within a modern, async-first tech stack (e.g., Slack, Google Docs) to document policies, communicate decisions, and collaborate across time zones
