Mission: Essence of the Job
The Event Services team’s mission is to help our clients build thriving cultures and achieve company goals through curated, high-impact in-person experiences.
As a Senior Event Manager, you’ll serve as the strategic lead for BoomPop’s most complex and high-value programs — overseeing events that are larger in scope, budget, and production. You’ll guide clients through the full lifecycle, drive operational and financial excellence, and influence process improvements across the team.
You bring deep event management experience, strong business acumen, and the confidence to operate autonomously while mentoring peers and elevating team standards.
Top 3 Priorities
- Deliver world-class client satisfaction (NPS & CSAT) while consistently achieving profitability and operational excellence targets.
- Independently manage 8–12 concurrent complex events, including large-scale offsites, multi-day retreats, and incentive programs with budgets of $500K–$2M+.
- Act as a strategic partner and subject matter expert — mentoring peers, influencing processes, and helping shape BoomPop’s event operations playbook.
Within 30 days:
- Complete onboarding and training on BoomPop systems, tools, and SOPs.
- Shadow team members on complex programs to learn workflows, expectations, and best practices.
- Begin managing one or two assigned client events with oversight and support from your Team Lead.
Within 60 days:
- Fully own multiple large-scale programs from concept through reconciliation, managing vendors, creative direction, budgets, and client relationships.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sourcing, Creative, and Product teams to ensure alignment and consistency.
- Begin identifying patterns, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement.
Within 90 days:
- Operate independently as the strategic lead across a portfolio of 8–12 concurrent complex events.
- Consistently exceed satisfaction, quality, and profitability goals.
- Be recognized as a go-to leader for complex programs, supporting the broader team through mentorship and thought partnership.

What you'll do
- Plan, lead, and execute 8–12 concurrent high-complexity events, including incentive trips, multi-day retreats, and high-production programs.
- Serve as the primary strategic contact for clients, offering consultative guidance and creative solutions aligned to business objectives.
- Manage all aspects of event execution: budget creation, venue and vendor sourcing, production, logistics, and reconciliation.
- Oversee event budgets of $500K–$2M+, balancing client goals with BoomPop’s margin targets and cost efficiency.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sourcing, Creative, Product, and Finance teams to ensure seamless delivery.
- Mentor Event Managers by sharing best practices, reviewing plans, and helping solve complex challenges.
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance scalability, efficiency, and profitability across the Events org.
- Lead post-event reviews to surface learnings and drive continuous improvement.
- Model operational excellence, proactive communication, and a calm, solution-oriented approach in every client interaction.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional experience in end-to-end event management, including large-scale, complex, or high-production events.
- Demonstrated success managing 8–12 simultaneous programs with budgets of $500K–$2M+.
- Proven ability to serve as a trusted client partner and strategic advisor.
- Strong vendor sourcing, contract negotiation, and relationship management experience.
- Deep understanding of budget management, margin protection, and reconciliation.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience mentoring or influencing others, even without direct management.
- Startup mindset — agile, resourceful, and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
- Willing and able to travel up to 10% for onsite execution or team offsites.

Occasional Travel: Connecting is in our DNA, please note that we anticipate roughly 6-8 nights of travel per year for this role.
Total Compensation Package; Including Benefits and Stock:
- Base: $90,000 - $120,000 a year; Depending on Experience and Qualifications
- Bonus: $10,000 annually, based on business and personal milestones
- Medical, vision, dental, life: $10,000 - $16,000 a year; Depending on Individual or Family Plan
