About The RoleOur team is looking for a Senior UX Researcher to lead research initiatives at our site in Bangalore. This researcher should be able to identify and execute against strategic research opportunities across our Mobility portfolio, scale insights globally & across the business, and partner closely with cross-functional partners to help define and drive strategic growth for Uber.
What You'll Do
- Work with our Product and Design teams to creatively identify and explore new opportunities to help define product roadmaps, vision, and strategy that directly relates to local & global initiatives.
- Design and conduct foundational, formative, and evaluative qualitative and quantitative user research, including field observations and interviews, remote and in-person usability studies, and other methods as needed for existing and future products
- Collaborate with a diverse group of cross-functional product, design, engineer, and product marketing partners to achieve alignment and impact
- Synthesize and communicate research findings to drive understanding, user empathy, and business decisions across the organization
- Deliver high-quality insights in a fast-paced work environment
- Prioritize the most impactful UXR-led initiatives and support local teams with research in an advisory role, as needed
- Scale insights to other regions & parts of the business. Partner with other UXRs to strengthen & triangulate their own insights
- Model and mentor as a Research Leader in the Bangalore site
- 5+ years of professional experience conducting user research
- An understanding of research methods strengths and weaknesses and experience planning and conducting mid-to-large scale research projects across various product phases
- Ability to concisely and persuasively communicate research findings
- Previous experience conducting international research and working on products with global impact
- Experience with mixed methods - both qualitative and quantitative - with a focus on more strategic research
- Able to appropriately prioritize projects based on business impact and level of effort
