About The RoleThis Digital Inventory Manager will be responsible for identifying areas of opportunity across our inventory segments, controlling sell-through and improving the visibility of available advertising inventory across Uber Surfaces (Mobility and Delivery). You will define and operate inventory management strategy, by controlling and optimizing inventory by producing analysis via enhanced intelligence and controls. You will impact our business by analyzing large data-sets and exploring new business opportunities in addition to streamlining deliverables across multiple ad products.In this cross functional role, you'll work closely with Ad Sales, Sales Operations, Engineering, Audience Strategy and Measurement Operations to ensure targets are being met and risks are known at the time of impact. The candidate will have a background in digital advertising, inventory management, familiarity with programmatic marketplaces and auction dynamics. What You'll Do
  • Own inventory management including forecasting and monitoring inventory for Surfaces and Advertisers.
  • Lead the efforts on inventory forecasting and management to provide visibility of future available inventory that highlights inventory risks easily
  • Develop inventory availability dashboards and establish scalable mechanisms that improve visibility on inventory availability
  • Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures
  • Work with Sales Ops and Sales to define the process for managing premium inventory bookings (i.e.: tentpole, SOV) and proactively flag potential inventory constraints and roadblocks
  • Analyze and understand ad server inventory levers and their impact on overall forecasts
  • Own communication of sell through rate reporting to cross functional collaborators on a routine cadence
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Economy, Analytics, Statistics, Advertising or related field
  • 5+ years' experience in a digital Yield and/or Inventory Management position and/or an Advertising Technology role
  • Expert understanding of the online advertising industry: desktop, mobile (web/in-app), and video
  • Hands-on analytical skills, with experience using BI tools; extracting business insights from data using Excel and SQL
  • Sophisticated skills in developing dashboards using data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker Dashboard, etc)
  • Solid understanding of Google Ads Manager (GAM), Ad network/Ad exchange / DSP / SSP / Publisher
  • Proven track record of partnering with Sales, Sales Ops, and Ad Ops to achieve yield optimization results.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years' experience in Advertising Inventory Management and/or Digital Inventory Management
  • Digital Advertising experience working on the Publisher side
  • Capability to successfully thrive in a fast paced environment and balance multiple priorities
