About The RoleWe are looking for our next passionate and committed executive leader to lead the NZ Eats business through its next phase of growth. This role will be entail being
  • The strategic leader of the NZ business, translating global goals into a locally inspiring strategy and plan and delivering on ambitious business goals
  • A competent, decisive and optimistic leader that can rally many teams and stakeholders to achieve a shared vision.
  • A visible and vocal champion for the NZ business internally and to customers and partners externally
  • Responsible for managing and driving the success of a team of individual contributors whose core responsibilities focus on the acquisition, retention and growth of our merchant base
  • An important cross functional partner to the many teams that do not directly report to you, but are critical to successful execution of your plan including CommOps, Sales, Marketing, Policy, Legal, Comms, Tax, HR, Recruiting, Finance, BD and many more.
This is a multi-faceted role in that it requires you to be a strong and effective business leader with a proven ability to achieve excellent business impact. You must also be a skilled people leader who is able to build and lead high performing teams and develop and mentor your team members. Key Responsibilities Strategize – Work closely with senior leadership across the Sales and Ops org through tying global priorities to local insights and innovation to shape a compelling vision and strategy to grow the NZ Eats business and inspire the team to execute on this. Achieve ambitious business goals - You will be accountable for ensuring we deliver on our ambitious goals in New Zealand including achieving excellent growth in our NZ business in NZ and achieving our ambitious goals for the market. Lead - lead and inspire the local team in New Zealand, including being an effective commercial leader who can inspire our sales and account management teams while also being adept in operations and strategy Build relationships - represent Uber Eats externally with key customers and stakeholders in New ZealandInfluence – Work cross-functionally with our Sales, Product, Operations and Analytics teams to improve commercial performance of the New Zealand business Analyze & Experiment – Develop and speak to models that evaluate the economic and strategic costs and benefits of various retention and growth initiatives programs and experiments. Work with your team and key partners to develop new opportunities to partner with our customers; bring new products and innovations from Uber Eats to our partners.   • 15+ years work experience, ideally including time spent in commercial / sales leadership roles and/or operations or strategy
  • Be based or be able to locate to Auckland, New Zealand
  • Previous success in business-accountable roles. A track record of consistently delivering excellent results
  • Strong track record of building, leading and engaging diverse teams
  • Self-starter and collaborative leader. Everywhere you go, you can't help but mobilize people, build things, resolve
  • Evidence of successful complex stakeholder management across a variety of functions including across international borders
  • An appetite for taking smart risks in a fast moving, competitive and often ambiguous environment
