• Lead the design and requirements of the private cloud container infrastructure networking, ensuring that they are secure, scalable, and reliable
• You would be working through our various container networking locations, which apply Kubernetes K8s, Envoy, eBPF, and a custom Apache Mesos environment. You would be driving initiatives to further secure these environments from a network security perspective
• Collaborate with software networking development teams to enable the delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable infrastructure
• Identify areas of improvement and prioritize initiatives that align with business goals and objectives
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the software network team
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cloud, container, and proxy technologies and bring in recommendations for the adoption and implementation of new tools/technologies
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements

Basic Requirements

• 5+ years of applied experience in a form of containerized infrastructure, proxies, and load balancers
• 5+ years of Hands-On and Advanced knowledge of Containerization and Container Runtime/Orchestration platforms (Docker/Kubernetes/ Mesos/ECS etc)
• 5+ years of experience in programming languages like Golang or Java and an understanding of software development standard methodologies
• Proven understanding of cloud security best practices, shift left methodologies, and DevSecOps processes
• Deep understanding of container infrastructure design and architecture and cloud migration strategies
• Experience in K8s Container Networking Interface (CNI) Implementation
• Demonstrating of intimate understanding of container overlay networking concepts, including best-practices networking models and security
• AWS/Azure/GCP/Oracle/OpenStack. Hands-on experience with Cloud Infrastructure Provisioning Tools like Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane & Cloud Formation etc
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD/SCM tools like buildkite, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Bitbucket / Github Actions etc and experience with logging and monitoring tools like Elastic, Grafana, Prometheus etc

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing multi-cloud architectures
• Certifications in target areas (Cloud/Kubernetes/IaaC etc)
• Network Security experience
• Python 3.8 or higher is preferrerd
