About the team:
The Storage Platform Team is responsible for some of the most critical database and caching systems at Robinhood.
As a Senior Manager for the team you will lead versatile engineers as they own everything related to AWS RDS, PostgreSQL, AWS DynamoDB and Memcached. We are also building out our own storage solutions for Robinhood for the long term and you can have a direct impact in the shape of that technology!
Our workloads are transaction heavy and real time which presents a host of challenges. You will help scale our storage infrastructure to 100 million users and beyond. Few opportunities like this exist elsewhere. The level of impact and ownership can be understood by simply stating: we will not succeed in regards to our objectives without you.
- Work with cross-functional business, product, analytics, and engineering leaders to collaborate, plan, and execute on a roadmap for the Storage Platform Team within the Data & ML Platform engineering team, and the larger Infrastructure org.
- Guide and mentor talented engineers as they continue to grow within their careers
- Demonstrated ability working with Relational and/or NoSQL Databases and distributed caching systems, supporting large scale business critical OLTP workloads
- Experience with improving storage performance, resiliency and reliability with transaction heavy workloads
- Ability to dive into database specifics as well as look at the broader architecture

The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan.
US Zone 1: $247000 - $290000
US Zone 2: $217000 - $255000
US Zone 3: $192000 - $226000
Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. You can view comp zones for our US office locations in the table below. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
